About this trip
Brothers and Sisters,
It is my pleasure to invite you to join us on a unique pilgrimage to France. A religious pilgrimage is a grace-filled opportunity to join together in prayer, both in gratitude for many blessings received, as well as in petition for the continuing growth in holiness of our Church.
Some highlights for our pilgrimage will be Paris, the “City of Lights” with many historic sites, where there will be the opportunity to explore and have masses at Sacre’ Coeur, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Chapel where our Blessed Mother manifested the Miraculous Medal to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830, Lourdes, France, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette, and where so many have been miraculously healed, Mont St Michel, the famous abbey which seems to rise out of the water off the coast, and is one of France’s most dramatic sights. There will also be an opportunity to explore Omaha Beach, the site of D-Day where American Soldiers stormed the beach during World War II.
What makes this pilgrimage particularly special is the timing in which we will get to visit Lisieux, France home of the Little Flower, Saint Thérèse whom Pope Pius X called the Greatest Saint of Modern Times. We will get to have mass at her convent with the Carmelite Nuns of Lisieux and then mass at the Basilica of Saint Thérèse on her Feast Day, October 1st!

Your trip Itinerary
Day 1 : USA
Depart from Atlanta for Paris with complimentary meals and beverages served onboard your international flight.
DAY 2 : PARIS
Upon our arrival in Paris, we meet with your English speaking guide who will be with you during the tour until day six. Departure by coach and enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of Paris. On your tour you will see the famous sights of Paris including the Champs Elysees, L’Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower. Celebrate Mass before spending the rest of the day exploring Notre Dame Cathedral, or another point of interest with your guide in the “City of Lights”. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 3 : PARIS
After breakfast we celebrate Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. We view the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Laboure whose guardian angel led her to the chapel where the Blessed Virgin displayed a vision of the miraculous medal and later the green scapular wherein the Blessed Virgin promised bountiful graces for all that wore this medal. See the Church of St. Vincent de Paul. Then we go around the corner to the chapel where his body rests above the main altar in a solid silver shrine covered by the goldsmith, Odiot. Take the funicular to go up and visit the Church of the Sacre Coeur. Free time. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 4 : PARIS – ROUEN - OMAHA BEACH- SAINT LO
After Breakfast, departure by coach to Rouen, France( 2.5 hr.) where St. Joan of Arc. was burnt at stake by the British in 1431 after being quickly tried for heresy, which left no doubt about the outcome. A second trial would be opened after her death and declared her innocent, which nullified the first sentence and declared her a martyr. The exact location where she was burnt at stake is indicated next to Saint Joan of Arc Church in the Place du Vieux Marché (Old Market Square). We will visit the Saint Joan of Arc Church and celebrate Mass inside the building whose architecture is surprising and brings to mind the maritime character of Rouen thanks to the materials used and the beauty of the stained-glass windows that are displayed. Lunch on our own. Afterward, we continue to Omaha Beach to walk around the beaches, especially on Omaha where the Americans landed. We visit the museum. Then continue to the cemetery for our memorial visit. Dinner and overnight in Saint Lo.
DAY 5 : LISIEUX
After breakfast, we drive to the spectacular sight of Mont St. Michel. Visit Mont St Michel. Visit this famous abbey which seems to rise out of the water off the coast, and is one of France’s most dramatic sights. Celebrate Mass. Transfer to Lisieux, 2 hours drive Dinner and overnight in Lisieux
DAY 6 AND 7 : LISIEUX
The home of St. Thérèse of Lisieux whom Pope Pius X called the greatest Saint of Modern times. Her love for God and service to humanity comes alive as you visit the Basilica Cathedral of St. Peter and Les Buissonets, her family home. On display are relics, clothing, and personal objects belonging to the Little Flower. View the statue depicting the Blessed Virgin who smiled at St. Thérèse before curing her illness. Concelebrate Mass with the Carmelite Sisters at the cloister (Day 6). Celebrate Mass at the Basilica (Day 7). Visit with the Carmelite Nuns.
DAY 8 : LISIEUX – PARIS - LOURDES
After breakfast the we depart by motor coach for Paris. End of guide service. Take the train or the plane to Lourdes. If arriving to TLS airport then transfer by bus to Lourdes. Evening: Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
DAY 9 : LOURDES
Breakfast at hotel. Celebrate Mass at the Grotto, and walk in the footsteps of St Bernadette. See Boly Mill where St Bernadette was born and the ‘Cachot,’ an abandoned prison where Bernadette’s impoverished family lived. Time at leisure to drink water from the miraculous spring at the base of the grotto. Lunch under your arrangement. Walk the Stations of the Cross overlooking the holy Grotto. Kneel in the chapel built on the very rock of the Grotto in obedience to the request of the ‘Immaculate Conception.’ Attend the blessing of the sick and participate in nightly candlelight processions requested by Our Lady. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
DAY 10 : LOURDES
Breakfast at hotel. Today is free for your own private devotions. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
DAY 11 : LOURDES – TOULOUSE
Breakfast at hotel. We depart back home to the USA. Transfer to Toulouse airport terminal.
