Day 2- April 18th Doylestown- Our Lady of Czestochowa

Doylestown – Our Lady of Czestochowa

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, known also as the American Czestochowa is a Polish-American Roman Catholic shrine near Doylestown, Pennsylvania, founded in 1953. It houses a reproduction of the Black Madonna icon of Częstochowa, Poland. The heart of Poland's third prime minister, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, is also preserved there.

We will be welcomed to the shrine by the Pauline Fathers and Brothers.

Today after breakfast we wake up in Doylestown to spend the day visiting The Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and overnight at the Shrine Guesthouse.

Day 3: April 19th, Washington DC

Drive to WASHINGTON DC- 140 MILES (about 2hrs 40 min drive) check-in to hotel in Washington, DC area. Lunch at the Shrine St. John Paul II and visit of the Saint John Paul II National Shrine

Mass at 12:00

Lunch at the Shrine Divine Mercy followed by group tour.

Divine Mercy Service at 3PM.

Evening: Check-in to our hotel for accommodation- Dinner together on our own

Day 4: April 20th

Today after breakfast we take the Trolly/Buss around DC to visit the World War II Memorial, and the rest of all monuments of the Capital.

Evening: Overnight at hotel – Dinner your own

Day 5- April 21st Washington DC

Smithsonian Museum We will spend the day to visit the Smithsonian Museum.

Day 6 April 22nd, Washington CD

9AM– drive to visit the Basilica of the National of the Immaculate Conception 3.4.miles approx. 19 minutes.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception is a large minor Catholic basilica and national shrine located at 400 Michigan Avenue NE, in the northeast quadrant of Washington, D.C., United States, adjacent to the Catholic University of America. It is served by the Brookland-CUA Metro Station on the Red Line, roughly 1,640 feet (500 m) away.

The shrine is the largest Catholic church building in North America, and one of the largest in the world. The basilica is also the tallest habitable building in Washington, D.C Its construction of Byzantine Revival and Romanesque Revival architecture began on September 23, 1920, with renowned contractor John McShain and was completed on December 8, 2017, with the dedication and solemn blessing of the Trinity Dome mosaic.

The basilica is the national and patronal Catholic church of the United States, honoring the Immaculate Conception as Patroness, accorded by Pope Pius IX on February 7, 1847. Pope Pius XI donated a mosaic rendition of the image in 1923. The shrine has merited several papal visits, namely the following:

Pope John Paul II raised the National Shrine to the status of Minor Basilica on October 12, 1990.

Pope Benedict XVI bestowed a Golden Rose on April 16, 2008.

Pope Francis canonized Saint Junípero Serra, O.F.M., on September 23, 2015.

Day 7: April 23rd, Washington CD

Drive at 9AM to the Franciscan Monastery 4.3.miles approx. 19 minutes.

The Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America is a Franciscan complex at 14th and Quincy Streets in the Brookland neighborhood of Northeast Washington, D.C. Located on a hill called Mount Saint Sepulcher, and anchored by the Memorial Church of the Holy Sepulcher, it includes gardens, replicas of various shrines throughout Israel, a replica of the catacombs in Rome, an archive, a library, as well as bones of Saint Benignus of Armagh, brought from the Roman catacombs and originally in the cathedral of Narni, Italy.
